Pixar Releases New Information About ‘Luca’

There is a lot of buzz and excitement going around the animation community. The animation studio Pixar has just unveiled a new poster for the upcoming movie Luca. 

Luca is expected to be released on June 18, 2021. The movie is being directed by Enrico Casarosa. Luca will be the first full length movie directed by Casarosa. However Casarosa has a very extensive animation career. Casarosa has worked on movies like Ice Age, Up, Robots, Coco, Ratatouille, and several animated shows. He also directed and wrote the short Pixar animated film La Luna. The movie’s screenplay was written by Jesse Andrews and Mike Jones.

The Collider has reported that the movie Luca is going to be set in a seaside town on the Italian Riviera. The plot of the film will be a coming of age story that follows the journey of a young boy, named Luca. One summer Luca meets a friendly sea monster. The young sea monster is able to disguise himself as a human boy. Over the course of the summer the boy and the sea monster form an incredible friendship. The movie’s setting is heavily influenced by Casarosa’s own childhood memories.

Disney also promises to release a trailer for Luca sometime this week.
