Phoebe Waller-Bridge Joins Harrison Ford in ‘Indiana Jones 5’

The exciting news was announced Friday morning from Lucasfilms that Fleabag creator and Emmy winner Phoebe Waller-Bridge will join Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones 5 sources told Deadline. Legendary composer John Williams is also returning to the film to score the next installment, 40 years after Raiders of the Lost Ark. Williams has scored every Indiana Jones film, including that oh so classic theme song that fans love so dearly.

“I’m thrilled to be starting a new adventure, collaborating with a dream team of all-time great filmmakers,” said Mangold in a statement. “Steven, Harrison, Kathy, Frank, and John are all artistic heroes of mine. When you add Phoebe, a dazzling actor, brilliant creative voice, and the chemistry she will undoubtedly bring to our set, I can’t help but feel as lucky as Indiana Jones himself.”

The story plot on the next adventure is still a little bit hazy and the role that Waller-Bridge will have in the film. Production is expected to start sometime this summer, with a release date of July 29, 2022.

Waller-Bridge will also co-star with Donald Glover in the Amazon series Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Not only will she act in the series, but she will also be an executive producer and writer.
