Vertical Entertainment has officially released the trailer for Casey Affleck and Sam Claflin’s upcoming psychological thriller Every Breath You Take. The trailer shows Affleck and Claflin’s characters, who are locked in threatening cat-and-mouse game after an abrupt tragedy puts them in direct opposition to each other. According to Collider, the film will tell the story of a psychiatrist (Affleck) who is left to deal with the repercussions after one of his patients commits a crime. When the victim’s brother (Claflin) learns of his sister’s death, he plans to take revenge on Affleck’s character and his family.
The film also stars Michelle Monaghan (Mission Impossible), India Eisley (I am the Night), and Emily Alyn Lind (The Babysitter: Killer Queen). Every Breath You Take is directed by Vaughn Stein (Terminal, Yussef Is Complicated) and is written by David K. Murray. The film will be produced by Richard Barton Lewis, Jean-Charles Levy, Morgan Emmery and Veronica Ferres.
Affleck’s most recent project was period drama The World to Come opposite Katherine Waterston. Claflin recently starred as the oldest Holmes brother in the Netflix film Enola Holmes alongside Henry Cavill and Millie Bobby Brown.
Every Breath You Take will be released in theaters and on premium video on-demand on April 2nd.
