New Look at ‘Black Widow’ Highlights Mystery Villain Taskmaster

A special look clip for the upcoming Marvel film Black Widow has just dropped, revealing new footage of some of the film’s epic action sequences. The first Phase 4 Marvel film has a release date of May 1, so more clips like these are to be expected in the coming months.

Much of this trailer is similar to what we saw in the first trailer, but with the addition of several new shots and lines with new information. One notable addition is that Scarlett Johansson‘s Natasha says that “There’s a new world of widows,” which we hear over a shot of a room full of women in a black and red room. It looks like there will not only be flashbacks of Natasha’s assassin training, but also a look into how new Widows are being trained and how many more are out there.

The Black Widow trailer also gives a much clearer look at villain Taskmaster who, in the comics, has “photographic reflexes” that allow him to replicate the fighting skills of others. This clip gives us a hint of that when he mirrors Natasha’s actions in a fight, making them almost evenly matched. He also wields a shield in a familiar way, hinting that he may have encountered Captain America.

You can see the trailer/special look for yourself below and see Black Widow in theaters May 1.
