Netflix Heads to The Annecy International Animation Film Festival in France To Present ‘Nimona,’ ‘Blue Eye Samurai,’ ‘Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget,’ And More

After a fruitful year with Guillermo del Torro’s Pinocchio, many look forward to seeing what else Netflix has in store within the world of animation. Netflix will attend the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in France, where they will discuss and show some highly anticipated films they will release (The Wrap).

One such film is Annapurna Pictures’ film Nimona, which on June 14th will have an exclusive screening at the Annecy, where the creator ND Stevenson and the directors’ Nick Bruno and Troy Quane will be attending. The production designer Aiden Sugano and producers Karen Ryan and Julie Zackary will also participate in. The following day, the team behind the film is expected to hold a “Making Of” panel for fans to ask questions.

Also, on the 14th, another panel will be titled “See What’s Next @ Netflix,” where Adam Sandler’s Leo will be a heavily discussed film. There will be conversations by the film’s team and featured exclusive clips. The series Blue Eye Samurai’s creator and producers, Michael Green and Amber Noizumi, will be at the panel to discuss the project. Additionally, director Sam Fell will be there to promote his highly anticipated project – Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget. The film is a sequel to the 2000 stop-motion film Chicken Run.
