Netflix Drops the First Trailer to the Gender-Swap Remake ‘He’s All That’

The director behind Mean Girls, Mark Waters, is at it again! Netflix dropped the first trailer to the gender-swap remake He’s All That, and let’s just say the trailer does not disappoint. It gives all the feels of She’s All That and plenty more, but this time instead of the girl needing the makeover, it’s the guy this time in need of a change.

He’s All That follows Cameron (Tanner Buchanan), an anti-social high school student who becomes Padgett (Addison Rae), the most popular girl in the school’s pet project, as she attempts to repair her reputation after her cheating boyfriend’s antics go online. If she could convert this ordinary average-looking teen into prom king material, her stock would skyrocket. As easy as it sounds, things become problematic when Padgett starts to fall for her pet project, and of course, the drama follows right behind her.

Rachael Leigh Cook, who played Laney Boggs in the original film, will play the role of Padgett’s wise and compassionate mother in the remake.

The teaser trailer also features Kourtney Kardashian making her acting debut on the big screen. Matthew Lillard, who also starred in the original film, also stars in the remake. Madison Pettis (The Game Plan), Peyton Meyer (American Housewife), Isabella Crovetti (Colony), Annie Jacob (Motherland: Fort Salem), and Myra Molloy (Halfworlds) round out the cast.

He’s All That is set to hit the streaming service on August 27 but in the meantime, check out the trailer below!
