Netflix Acquires Sci-Fi ‘Spectral’

According to Deadline, Netflix has picked up the action sci-fi film Spectral starring James Badge Dale (The Walk), Emily Mortimer (Ladygrey), and Bruce Greenwood (Rehearsal). Nic Mathieu helms in his directorial debut. Credited writers are George Nolfi (The Bourne Ultimatum), Ian Fried, John Gatins, and Jamie Moss.

The story follows a group of phantom aggressors code-named Spectral who are mysteriously causing civilian deaths in a war-torn city. A Special Ops team of Delta Force soldiers and a brilliant scientist undertake a deadly mission to investigate. The Legendary Pictures feature is produced by Jillian Share and scored by Junkie XL (Deadpool). The film was shot in Budapest, Hungary.

Netflix is planning a global release date of December 9th.

She lives in Los Angeles County, where "the sun shines bright, the beaches are wide and inviting, and the orange groves (used to) stretch as far as the eye can see" (quoting Sid in L.A. Confidential)
