As Jonathan Majors’ hearing for his harassment allegations draws near, his attorney, Priya Chaudhry, continues to insist on her client’s innocence. Chaudhry claims that she has evidence that supposedly proves his innocence as the actor is pulled from other projects.
Majors is currently facing domestic violence allegations based on an incident on March 25th involving an alleged dispute with currently unnamed 30-year-old woman. While the woman was sent to the hospital for her head and neck injuries, Majors was arrested and accused of the alleged assault. The following day, Majors appeared in front of a judge and was released with the promise to appear in court for the hearing.
Chaudhry claims that the 911 call for the domestic abuse was allegedly made by Majors and that the woman is allegedly taking the blame for the situation. While law enforcement can confirm Majors’ call, there is no clear authentication for the series of texts made by the woman supposedly blaming herself. When Deadline contacted the Manhattan District Attorney, his office stated that they have “no comment” on the legitimacy of both Chaudhry’s claim and whether other women have claimed alleged abuse as well.
Even so, these allegations have led to Majors being let go by his former manager, Entertainment 360, and publicist, The Lede Company. Additionally, Majors has also been dropped from an adaptation of The Man in My Basement, a Texas Rangers MLB campaign, and an untitled Otis Redding biopic. He is still represented by the William Morris Endeavor (WME) and is slated to continue his work in the MCU as Kang the Conqueror, who will play a major role in future Avengers movies.
“We are confident that he will be fully exonerated,” Chaudhry proclaims.
