A new cast member will be joining the upcoming sequel to Knives Out. According to Deadline actress Jessica Henwick will be in Knives Out 2. Henwick is of course known for her role in the series Iron Fist, the movie Love and Monsters, and the upcoming Matrix 4 movie.
Other than Henwick the cast list for Knives Out 2 includes Daniel Craig, Dave Bautista, Kathryn Hahn, Kate Hudson, Janelle Monáe, Edward Norton, and Leslie Odom Jr. Deadline reports that Netflix made deal for Knives Out 2 and its future sequels that cost them nearly $400 million. Knives Out 2 will be directed by Rian Johnson, who directed the first movie.
The plot of the first Knives Out movie followed the mystery surrounding the death of Harlan Thrombey, a wealthy murder mystery writer. The suspects in the case were all members of Harlan’s own dysfunctional family. The mystery was unraveled by Harlan’s nurse Marta, played by Ana de Armas, with the help of an eccentric southern detective Benoit Blanc, who was played by Daniel Craig.
As of right now Benoit Blanc is the only the character confirmed to be returning in the sequel. The plot of Knives Out 2 will follow Blanc as he tries to solve a completely new mystery.
