Jason Isaacs, Barkhad Abdi, and Adan Canto Joined Spy Thriller ‘Agent Game’

It was announced at the beginning of March that Nighthawks director Grant S. Johnson would be directing indie spy thriller Agent Game along with the cast of Dermot Mulroney (My Best Friend’s Wedding), Katherine McNamara (Shadowhunters, Arrow), Rhys Coiro (Straw Dogs), Annie Ilonzeh (Peppermint), and Oscar-winner Mel Gibson and the end of March Katie Cassidy (Arrow) would also join the film.

Well, on Friday, Deadline exclusively learned that Agent Game had added Golden Globe nominee Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter films), Barkhad Abdi (Captain Phillips), and Adan Canto (Designated Survivor) to the film.

Set in the dark tangled web of CIA renditions. Harris (Mulroney), a CIA officer, engaged in missions to arrest and evacuate to relocate foreign nationals for questioning. When the political change in Washington shifts his partners into rivals, Harris’ superior (Isaacs) is murdered finds himself the scapegoat for a detainee’s assassination (Abdi), and has to escape from a squad of agents sent to bring him in (McNamara, Coiro, Canto, Cassidy) let by a merciless double agent (Ilonzeh). Gibson would have a small role in the spy thriller as an intelligence official in charge of running the unsanctioned covert operation to hunt down the disgraced spy.

Hopefully, even more, exciting news about this movie will come to light, like maybe a release date?
