Don’t Worry Darling is an upcoming psychological thriller movie that is being directed by Olivia Wilde. The movie is set in the 1950’s and will follow the story of a typical 50’s white American house wife named Alice, played by Florence Pugh. However Alice’s world changes when she starts to discover some dark secrets surrounding her husband and the company he works for.
Indie Wire recently reported that Wilde has been posting some pictures to her Instagram account. These photos offer some sneak peeks and behind the scene looks at the movie. In the captions of her the photos Wilde reveals that a lot of male actors are reluctant to take supporting roles in female lead films, so Wilde thanks her male actors Chris Pine and Harry Styles, who play supporting roles in the movie, for their hard work.
Not only is Wilde the director of Don’t Worry Darling she is also acting in it as well. Other cast members besides Pugh, Wilde, Styles, and Pine are Gemma Chan, Nick Kroll, KiKi Layne, Douglas Smith, Kate Berlant, Asif Ali, Timothy Simons, Ari’el Stachel, Dita Von Teese, and Sydney Chandler. The movie’s script was written by Katie Silberman, Carey Van Dyke, and Shane Van Dyke.
