Hugh Jackman’s ‘The Sheep Detectives’ Is Available To Rent On Prime Video This Week

According to Collider, The Sheep Detectives will be streaming on Prime Video. The film is an adaptation from the 2005 international novel Three Bags Full.

The film stars Hugh Jackman (Deadpool & Wolverine, The Wolverine), Nicholas Galitzine (The Idea of You, Red, White & Royal Blue), Molly Gordon (The Bear, Booksmart), Nicholas Braun (Sky High, Cat Person), Emma Thompson (Cruella, Dead of Winter), Brett Goldstein (Ted Lasso, Thor: Love and Thunder), Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Seinfeld, Thunderbolts), Brian Cranston (Malcom in the Middle, Breaking Bad) and Bella Ramsey (The Last of Us, Game of Thrones). The film is directed by Kyle Balda (Despicable Me 3, Minions). The film is also written by Craig Mazin (Scary Movie 3, The Hangover II).

Jackman plays a shepherd named George who reads mystery novels to his comprehensible flock. Tension shifts as George gets murdered and the flock attempts to figure out who did it. The Sheep Detective receives positive reviews, ranking a 95% critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes from Collider executive editor Tania Hussain. Therefore, the animation is Jackman’s highest-rated movie since his acting career. The film also earned $126 million at the box office after its premiere against its budget of $75 million.

The film will be available to rent or buy on June 24 on Prime Video. The comedy mystery is filled with laughter and talented voice actors.
