‘He’s All That’ Remake Adds Madison Pettis, ‘American Housewife’s Peyton Meyer, and More

Miramax’s modern gender-swapping take on ’90s teen comedy classic She’s All That has added new cast members to the He’s All That remake. Madison Pettis (The Game Plan, American Pie Presents: Girls’ Rules), Peyton Meyers (American Housewife), Isabella Crovetti (Magic Camp), Annie Jacob (Motherland: Fort Salem), and Myra Molloy (The Bold Type) are joining already announced TikTok star Addison Rae and Cobra Kai star Tanner Buchanan, who are playing the characters once played by Freddie Prinze Jr. and Rachael Leigh Cook.

The film follows an influencer (Rae) who decides to avenge herself by accepting a challenge to turn the school’s biggest loser (Buchanan) into prom king after her boyfriend turns her into a laughingstock.

The remake brings back screenwriter R. Lee Fleming and producers Jennifer Gibgot and Andrew Panay, who worked together on the original film’s development over 20 years ago. Mark Waters (Mean Girls, Freaky Friday) will be directing.

Sources tell Deadline that Pettis has been cast in the role once played by the late Paul Walker in the original. Molloy will play one of Rae’s character’s best friends. Meyer will play Rae’s jerky boyfriend (think of Taylor Vaughan in the original play by Jodi Lyn O’Keefe), and Crovetti will play Buchanan’s character’s little sister. Jacob is Buchanan’s character’s best friend.
