‘Guardians of the Galaxy 2’ Adds Unknown for Mystery Role

The first new cast member has been announced for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Pom Klementieff (Oldboy) has joined the highly anticipated Marvel sequel.

Klementieff, who has only appeared in the 2013 remake of the Korean action film Oldboy, will join Chris Pratt (Jurassic World), Zoe Saldana (Star Trek: Into Darkness), Bradley Cooper (Burnt), Vin Diesel (Furious 7), Dave Bautista (Heist), and Benicio Del Toro (Sicario). Marvel has yet to announce Klementieff’s role for the film but given her work in Oldboy, it wouldn’t be out out of the question for her to have an action-oriented part.

Very little has been released on terms of the plot of the sequel, though Guardians of the Galaxy ended with the group leaving for more adventures with clues being left regarding the identity of Peter “Star-Lord” Quill’s (Pratt) father.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is set to release May 5, 2017. Be sure to check back with Mxdwn Movies for all the latest news on Klementieff’s role in the film as well as details about the film itself.
