Focus Features Reveals First Look of John Goodman in a ‘Captive State’

Focus Features revealed today the first photo from Participant Media’s new science fiction thriller, Captive State, which has just wrapped up filming in Chicago, Illinois.

From writer/director Rupert Wyatt (Rise of the Planet of the Apes, The Gambler), Captive State stars John Goodman (10 Cloverfield Lane, Transformers: The Last Knight) in an alternate future nearly ten years after massive alien invasion of Earth. Also set to appear in the film are Ashton Sanders (Moonlight), Jonathan Majors (When We Rise), Kevin Dunn (Transformers franchise), and Academy Award nominee Vera Farmiga (The Conjuring, Bates Motel).

Captive State is set for a U.S. release on August 17, 2018.
