First Trailer for Jordan Peele’s ‘Us’

After Get Out became a hit with fans and critics alike, Jordan Peele continues to make name for himself as an auteur of horror cinema. He returns with a new vision of a terrifying America in the 2019 film Us, starring Lupita Nyong’o and Winston Duke. Peele has written, directed, and produced this next film in his oeuvre, and it appears to have his signature touch of blending social commentary with bizarre horror.

The first trailer has arrived for this much anticipated film, finally giving us a glimpse into what nightmares Peele will be haunting us with next. And already from this first look, it seems to be terribly haunting indeed.

Mother of two, Adelaide (Nyong’o) takes her family to her Northern California hometown, expecting a fun getaway and trip down memory lane. Of course, nothing goes as planned when a mysterious family disrupts the peace, breaking into their home and subjecting them to all sorts of twisted torment. To make matters worse, the attackers are clones of each member of the family, creating a distorted mirror image of themselves that threatens to tear them apart.

The imagery in the trailer is provokingly shocking and deeply unsettling, making it a must-see for 2019. Check out the trailer below and see Us in theaters on March 15, 2019.
