First Poster Revealed for Universal’s ‘The First Purge’, and it’s a Doozy

Universal Pictures and Blumhouse Productions go back in time to The First Purge in the latest Purge film about a movement of our country’s 12 hours of annual lawlessness which began as a simple experiment. The first poster has just been released to the public.

This time, to push the crime rate below one percent for the rest of the year, the New Founding Fathers of America (NFFA) will test a sociological theory that vents aggression for one night in an isolated community, but when oppressors meet the rage of the marginalized, the contagion will explode from the trial city borders and spread across the nation.

The First Purge will makes its debut in theaters July 4. It stars Y’Lan Noel, Lex Scott Davis, Joivan Wade, Luna Lauren Lelez and Marisa Tomei, under the direction of Gerard McMurray and writer James DeMonaco. The Last Purge movie, Election Year, was the most successful yet and its producers are hopeful for yet another success, but only time will tell.
