Whether it may divide audiences and critics, Michael Bay’s Transformers franchise is moving ahead nevertheless. 2017 will see the release of the fifth installment, recently titled Transformers: The Last Knight. Mark Wahlberg, star of the previous film Age of Extinction, is set to return, along with an exciting new cast member. Being already a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the Norse god Odin, Anthony Hopkins has now joined the only recently formed Transformers universe.
And one of the most beloved parts of the this franchise is the character of Bumblebee. He was the more relatable, flawed robot that was friend to Shia LaBeouf in the original trilogy, and has continued to have a essential part in the on-going storylines. As fans of the franchise, or Bay as a director, know is that they are always trying to make things bigger, slicker and visually wild as time goes on. In a recent post on his official Twitter page, Bay has done something that reassures that quality. He’s given us the first look at the newest design of Bumblebee, more specifically the car that he is able to transform into for camouflage.

Bay’s films always feature great luxury cars, with them usually being built specifically for his work. And considering that this is just the first look, it’s probably likely that we will get a peek at the robot version of Bumblebee sometime soon. Even though past installments have not been entirely well-received, hopefully The Last Knight will take the franchise down a better, stronger road.
Transformers: The Last Knight opens in theaters on June 23, 2017.
