David Denman Joins the Cast of Disaster Thriller ‘Greenland’

After previously starring opposite Elizabeth Banks in the Screen Gems superhero horror picture Brightburn, David Denman has become the most recent acquisition to the upcoming STXfilms thriller, according to Deadline. The actor will star alongside other big names like Gerard Butler and Morena Baccarin.

The plot of Greenland follows a family’s struggle for survival as they encounter a catastrophic natural disaster that impends doom on mankind. Denman will portray a loving man who takes desperate measures to ensure the safety of himself and his wife. Basil Iwanyk of Thunder Road Films will be tasked with producing the film alongside Butler and Alan Siegel through their G-BASE production group.

Denman is widely renowned for his role as Roy in the timeless NBC comedy The Office, which ran from 2005 to 2012. Some of Denman’s screen credits include The Replacements, Big Fish, When a Stranger Calls, The Nines, Shutter, Smart People, After Earth, Jobs, Beneath the Harvest Sky, The Gift, Power Rangers, Logan Lucky, and Puzzle. Denman also maintained roles in True Detective, Mad Men, How to Get Away With Murder, Parenthood, Grey’s Anatomy, Bones, Angel, Crossing Jordan, X-Files and Chicago Hope over the years. The actor is represented by Berwick & Kovacik, UTA and Schreck, Rose, Dapello, Adams, Berlin & Dunham.
