Check out the Official Trailer for ‘Victor Frankenstein’

20th Century Fox has released the first trailer for their upcoming take on the classic story of Frankenstein’s monster. Victor Frankenstein re-imagines the tale from the point of view of Igor, Dr. Victor Von Frankenstein’s assistant, and much of the focus is on the friendship between the two men and the effect that the doctor’s quest to reanimate the dead has on their relationship.

Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) portrays Igor, protege to James McAvoy‘s (X-Men: Apocalypse) Frankenstein. Frankenstein has a great vision that his experiments will aid all mankind, and Igor is eager to help in his mentor’s quest. Things start unraveling when Frankenstein’s obsessions with creating new life through reanimation take darker and more dangerous turns, and it falls on Igor’s shoulders to keep the scientist’s creation from destroying Frankenstein and everything he has worked for.

The trailer is unusual in that it features footage of the leads that initially screened at this year’s Comic-Con, where the two appear out of character. The friendship that developed between the actors during filming seems obvious, with humorous banter that seems perfect for what has been described as their ‘bromance’ in the film.

Jessica Brown Findlay (TV’s Downton Abbey), Andrew Scott (the upcoming Bond installment Spectre), and Freddie Fox (The Riot Club) round out the cast. The film is directed by Paul McGuigan (Lucky Number Slevin) from script by Max Landis (American Ultra)Victor Frankenstein hits theaters on November 25. Check out the trailer below.
