Check Out the First Trailer for ‘American Made’ Starring Tom Cruise

Tom Cruise reunites with his Edge of Tomorrow director Doug Liman for the forthcoming thriller American Made. Universal Pictures has released the first trailer -as well as the first one-sheet – for the 1980s-set thrill ride set to open in theaters this fall. In the film, Cruise portrays a pilot tasked with top-secret missions from the CIA.

The synopsis reads: “In Universal Pictures’ American Made, Tom Cruise reunites with his Edge of Tomorrow director, Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity, Mr. and Mrs. Smith), in this international escapade based on the outrageous (and real) exploits of a hustler and pilot unexpectedly recruited by the CIA to run one of the biggest covert operations in U.S. history.” Gary Spielli penned the screenplay. Domhnall Gleeson (Ex Machina), Caleb Landry Jones (Get Out), Jesse Plemons (Black Mass), Sarah Wright (The House Bunny), Jayma Mays (Glee), Benito Martinez (American Crime) and Lola Kirke (Mistress America) co-star.

American Made hits theaters on September 29th.
