Check Out a New Image of Villain Doctor Sivana from ‘Shazam!’

In its Ultimate 2019 Preview Issue, Empire has revealed new image of Mark Strong (Stockholm) playing villain Doctor Thaddeus Sivana in DC’s upcoming superhero film Shazam! Strong stars opposite Zachary Levi (TV’s Chuck), who plays the adult version of kid-turned-superhero Billy Batson in this new entry in Warner Bros.’ DC cinematic film universe. The image displays a confrontation between a perplexed white-caped Levi in red-yellow-gold superhero regalia and the sunglasses-sporting leather-jacketed Strong.

The plot of Shazam! follows 14-year-old Billy Batson (Asher Angel), who is granted the ability to turn into an adult superhero on command. David F. Sanberg (Annabelle: Creation) helms from a screenplay by Henry Gayden (Earth to Echo), which is based on a character created by Bill Parker and C.C. Beck.

Shazam! rolls out in theaters on April 5, 2019.
