Emmy-Nominated Sci-Fi Series ‘RZR’ Reimagined As Feature Film ‘Cyber Protocol’ For November Release Via Studio Dome

Distribution outfit Studio Dome has acquired North American rights to Cyber Protocol, a sci-fi thriller feature reimagined from creator-star David Bianchi’s Primetime Emmy-nominated short-form streaming series RZR. The feature is scheduled to launch across North America on November 10, 2026, with VMI Worldwide handling international distribution across more than 20 territories.

The project originated as an independently produced episodic series that earned SAG Award winner Mena Suvari (American Beauty) a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Performer in a Short Form Comedy or Drama Series at the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards. Following the shutdown of its original web3 platform Gala Film—which left the episodic run unavailable globally—the creative team reedited and expanded the footage into a standalone, feature-length film.

Set in a dystopian, near-future Los Angeles governed by synthetic intelligence, cryptocurrency networks, and illicit underworld markets, Cyber Protocol follows Grimm (Bianchi), a hacker who engineers a high-powered neural implant designed to breach fortified dark-web systems. When his invention sparks widespread urban chaos and compromises entrenched criminal cartels, Grimm finds himself fighting for survival while being pursued by Detective Thompson (Suvari). The ensemble cast includes Emilio Rivera (Mayans M.C.), Richard Cabral (American Crime), Mimi Davila (The Scout), Christopher Rodriguez Marquette (Reacher), and Danny Trejo (Machete). Directed by the filmmaking trio of Yuri Alves, Christopher Folkens, and Daniel J. Pico from a script co-written by Pico and Bianchi, the feature was produced by Bianchi and Noelle Hubbell under the Exertion Films banner.

The acquisition marks a key genre release for Studio Dome, the aggregation and global distribution firm founded by industry veteran Shaked Berenson. View the full official trailer below.
