Billy Eichner, star of the comedy series Billy on the Street, has just been added to the cast list for the upcoming Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, according to The Hollywood Reporter. It’s not yet announced which role Eichner will have in the film.
While Seth Rogen, Rose Byrne, Zac Efron, Dave Franco, and Ike Barinholtz (TV’s The Mindy Project) are all returning for the sequel, Chloe Grace Moretz (Kick-Ass), Selena Gomez (Spring Breakers), Kiersey Clemons (Dope), and Beanie Feldstein (Fan Girl) have all been reported to be on board as well.
Neighbors 2 is a sequel to the highly successful 2014 comedy. The plot of the upcoming movie is mostly unknown as of right now, but it involves a rowdy sorority moving in next door to the frat house.
Nicholas Stoller will return to direct, as well as Andrew J. Cohen and Brendan O’Brien to pen the script alongside Stoller, Rogen, and Evan Goldberg.
The film is currently in principal photography and is set for a 2016 release.
Along with his eponymous show, Eichner also stars in the Hulu series Difficult People and was a recurring character in NBC’s Parks and Recreation. He has also booked a role in the upcoming Amy Poehler–Will Ferrell domestic comedy, formerly titled The House.
The fourth season of Billy on the Street will air on truTV on October 8, 2015.
