Asa Germann To Play Angel In MCU ‘X-Men’ Movie

Asa Germann in 'Gen V'

The upcoming MCU X-Men film may have found its Angel. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Asa Germann, best known for his roles in the superhero series Gen V and the recently released Scream 7, is currently in final talks to play Angel in the upcoming MCU X-Men film. The actor was one of many who auditioned for Cyclops before being offered the role of Angel. If cast, he will be the third actor to portray the character in live action, after Ben Foster in X-Men: The Last Stand and Ben Hardy in X-Men: Apocalypse.

Germann joins a cast consisting of Christopher Abbott as Charles Xavier/Professor X, Kit Connor as Cyclops, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, Inde Navarrette as Rogue, Maya Boyd as Storm, and Sadie Sink as Jean Grey (reprising her role from Spider-Man: Brand New Day). These characters will face Adam Driver as the film’s villain, Mr. Sinister. This cast was officially announced quite recently at this year’s D23 Expo. Thunderbolts* director Jake Schreier will direct this X-Men movie. Marvel Studios is slated to release it on May 5, 2028.

Much of this news hasn’t been fully confirmed by Disney or Marvel Studios, and Asa Germann’s casting isn’t entirely official. For now, fans can hopefully look forward to this upcoming X-Men film.
