Apple TV just dropped the trailer for the new film Echo Valley. The gloomy and dark trailer shows Julianne Moore and Sydney Sweeney as mother and daughter. But things quickly take a dark turn for the two that involves a dead body.
The Hollywood Reporter summarized the film, “Echo Valley centers around Kate (Moore), who is in the process of grieving a personal tragedy when her daughter, Claire (Sweeney), arrives at night covered in blood following a fight with her boyfriend. This leads the mother-daughter pair down a dangerous path.” The trailer shows the two covering up what appears to be a murder. Suspicions rise that could cause trouble for the mother daughter pair. Family relationships are explored as well as drug addiction and abuse. The twisty trailer leaves a lot to be explored by the film. The vagueness of the trailer adds to the drama and thriller aspect.
Joining Moore and Sweeney in the thriller are Domhnall Gleeson, Kyle MacLachlan, Fiona Shaw, Edmund Donovan and Rebecca Creskoff. The film is directed by Michael Pearce and produced by Brad Ingelsby, who also wrote the script, Ridley Scott, Michael Pruss and Kevin J. Walsh.
Echo Valley is set to stream on Apple TV+ on June 13. In the meantime the trailer is available below.
