Alice Lowe, Kris Marshall, And Others to Star in New Nick Gillespie Film ‘Paul Dood’s Deadly Lunch Break’

One of the largest ensemble casts since Avengers: Endgame is coming to the big screen as Tom Meeten, Katherine Parkinson, Kevin Bishop, Kris Marschall, Johnny Vegas, Mandeep Dhillon, Alice Lowe, Craig Parkinson, Pippa Haywood, and Steve Oram are slated to star in Nick Gillespie’s upcoming dark comedy Paul Dood’s Deadly Lunch Break, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Accompanied by his longtime crew members Shane Meadow and Ben Wheatley, as well as producer Finn Bruce of the Belstone Pictures banner, Gillespie reunite with the studio once again after collaborating with Bruce on their mental thriller Tank 432 which starred Rupert Evans of Charmed and The Man in the High Castle and Michael Smiley of The Lobster and Kill ListPaul Dood’s Deadly Lunch Break examines the eponymous character, who is a lowly man living in a tiny British market town desperately seeking fame and the chance to display his talent at a Pop Idol competition.

The script will be compiled by a writing team consisting of Gillespie, Brook Driver and Matt White, as well as the talents of Willougby, Bruce and William Keith. Belstone’s previous films churned out plenty of nominations during award season which includes Raindance favorite Tracks and, most recently, Tucked.
