‘Zombeavers’ Promises a New Level of Zombie

From the producers of We’re The Millers and Cabin Fever comes Zombeavers, a creature feature about super strong undead beavers. Jordan Rubin will make his directorial debut with Jon and Al Kaplan contributing to the script. The trailer promises gore, scares, beaver puns, and even a were-beaver at the end.

The plot features the typical horror film setup of young, attractive, college-age kids going on vacation at an isolated cabin next to a beaver pond. One night, zombified beavers start appearing and demonstrate an insatiable hunger for both wood and human flesh. Zombeaver is certainly following in the footsteps of Sharknado by combining two different horror tropes, animal attack and zombie apocalypse, into a single movie. The stiff, unnatural look of the beavers in the trailer reveals the film’s lack of a budget but the cast seems committed to taking things absolutely seriously. The trailer is devoid of any winks to the camera or references to the absurdity of the premise. The trailer does drive home the destructive abilities of beavers as they block roads and chew through walls and floorboards. The film is currently looking for a distributor. When it does we shall see just how scary a beaver can be.
