Woody Harrelson On Board For Sony’s ‘Venom’

Fan favorite actor Woody Harrelson, who is best known for his role on the hit TV show Cheers as well as the latest Hunger Games Franchise, is seriously in talks to join the Venom cast.  The casting would reunite director Ruben Fleisher with Harrelson who previously worked together in the same roles for the comedy Zombieland.  

Currently, Venom stars Tom Hardy as the titular antihero as well as Oscar nominated Michelle Williams from last year’s Manchester By The Sea, Riz Ahmed from Rogue One and Jenny Slate from the animated film, Zootopia.

Based on the Comic Book series, Venom first made his appearance in The Amazing Spiderman #300 as a super-villain, but played a complicated role throughout the canon.  The motion picture, Venom is set to be released next October 5th, 2018.
