Warner Bros’s ‘Flash’ Movie is “Absolutely Confirmed,” says Ezra Miller

Long before Ben Affleck made his exit from the DCEU and Henry Cavill took his talents to Netflix’s The Witcher, the long awaited assemble of a Justice League movie was on everyone’s mind. Ezra Miller made his debut as the Scarlet Speedster in 2015’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in a small cameo, followed up by another cameo in 2016’s Suicide Squad before making his formal introduction in 2017’s Justice League.

While it’s well-known that the film didn’t meet expectations and led to an eventual break-up of its two lead actors, Ezra Miller has fought tooth and nail to keep hold of his involvement with the Flash character since his casting. After a laundry list of cycled directors, beginning with Seth Grahame-Smith, its now up to Andy Muschietti ( It: Chapter 2) to finally get this film off the ground. As far as the other properties are concerned, it’s clear that Warner Bros is steering in another direction, with the surprising success of Aquaman and Shazam and the new casting of Robert Pattinson as Batman.

The question still stands: is there any room for Miller’s Flash in DCEU’s future plans? Recently, Miller was interviewed by W Korea to discuss his future plans in the franchise and only mentioned his “absolutely confirmed” projects, bringing up Fantastic Beast 3 and the Flash movie. Even though Warner Bros is still trying to find their footing for projects on hold, there’s no shred of doubt in Ezra’s mind that The Flash is still heavily involved with the future of the DCEU.
