Upcoming Animated Movie ‘Superman: Red Son’ Gets a Voice Cast

Earlier this year DC announced plans to release two animated movies based on their iconic character Superman. One will be titled Superman: Man of Tomorrow and will not follow any particular story from the comics, but it will instead have a completely original plot. The other movie is called Superman: Red Son and it will be an adaptation of the comic book story line of the same name.

Recently the cast list for Superman: Red Son was announced. The red son of Krypton Superman will be voiced by actor Jason Isaacs, who actually voiced the man of steel’s arch-nemesis Lex Luthor in the movie Justice League: Gods and Monsters. However in this new movie Lex is being voiced by Diedrich Bader who previously voiced Batman on the cartoon series Batman: The Brave and the Bold. 

Batman will be voiced by Roger Craig Smith who voiced Batman in the Arkham Origins video game. Other cast members include Phil LaMarr who will be voicing the Green Lantern, a character he originally played in the Justice League animated series, Vanessa Marshall is voicing Wonder Woman once again, Paul Williams who played the Penguin in Batman the Animated Series is now taking on the role of Brainiac, and Amy Acker has been cast as Lois Lane.
