Universal Pictures has acquired the new comedy from writer Paula Pell (Sisters) with Tina Fey (Whiskey Tango Foxtrot) and Ronda Rousey (Entourage) to star, according to Deadline.
The film reportedly follows a pampered woman (Fey) who attends a female empowerment camp where Rousey is the strict instructor. The film’s title comes from a video on YouTube where Rousey responds to critics that say her body is “too masculine.”
I think it’s (her body) femininely badass as f–k because there’s not a single muscle in my body that isn’t for a purpose because I’m not a ‘do nothing bitch’.
The video gives a good idea of the personality of Rousey’s character, though given the the fact that this is a comedy, it’s likely that the character will be kicked up to the extreme.
Fey is producing the film along with Pell. No release date has been set at this time.
Fey will be seen next in the political comedy Whiskey, Tango Foxtrot. Meanwhile, Rousey is set to star in the remake of the eighties classic Road House and is developing the biopic based off her memoir My Fight/ Your Fight.
We’ll have more on the film as it becomes available.
