Trailer Releases for Jason Statham-led Guy Ritchie Thriller, ‘Wrath of Man’

Guy Ritchie, the director behind the 2000 cult crime caper Snatch and the live-action remake of Disney’s Aladdin, is back with another action-packed film starring frequent collaborator, Jason Statham. The MGM and Miramax produced film, titled Wrath of Man, marks the fourth collaboration between Statham and Ritchie, and looks to be yet another film in the actor’s catalog where he’s kicking ass and taking names.

The film is a reimagining of Nicolas Boukhrief’s 2004 French heist thriller Le Convoyeur, which follows a mysterious cash truck security guard who one day surprises his co-workers with his precision marksmanship. His ultimate motive becomes clearer as he takes dramatic steps to settle a score. The film was written by Ritchie, Ivan Atkinson and Marn Davies, and will also star Jeffrey Donovan, Josh Hartnett, Scott Eastwood, Raul Castillo and Post Malone.

Wrath of Man was at one point set to release January 15, 2021, but with many theaters still closed down, a successful release proved challenging. The film was rescheduled to release May 7.

Statham and Ritchie are also collaborating on another future film together, Five Eyes, an espionage thriller from STX. That film will co-star Aubrey Plaza, Hugh Grant, Bugzy Malone, Cary Elwes and Josh Hartnett.
