‘The Flash’ Star Ezra Miller Charged with Burglary by Vermont State Police

Following many public mishaps, The Flash star Ezra Miller has been charged with burglary from an incident back in May in Vermont. Police located the actor on 11:23 p.m. August 7 issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court Bennington Criminal Division on Sept. 26 for arraignment on the burglary charge.

The police report reads:

On 05/01/2022 at approximately 1755 hours, the Vermont State Police was notified of a burglary complaint at a residence on County Road in the town of Stamford, Vermont. The initial findings indicated that several bottles of alcohol were taken from within the residence while the homeowners were not present. As a result of an investigation that included surveillance videos and statements, probable cause was found to charge Ezra M. Miller with the offense of felony burglary into an unoccupied dwelling.

Despite all previous scandals, David Zaslov has maintained The Flash is sill set for a June 23, 2023 theatrical release. However, this new scandal could cause them to change their tune. Deadline reached out to Warner Bros. for comment, but they did not respond.

The studio has tried to intercede, but like any actor in Hollywood, Miller likely has a morality clause in their contract, which could come up at this point.

This summer, Miller ran into some trouble after parents of 18-year-old Tokata Iron Eyes claimed the actor groomed and kidnapped their child since the age of 12. A couple of months later, Miller received a temporary harassment prevention order from a 12-year-old and her mother in Greenfield, MA. Miller also had two arrests in Hawaii, one involving an assault in a karaoke bar.

This new roadblock for Warner Bros. Discovery and Zaslov comes hot after a rough week for the company. On August 2, the studio pulled the plug on DC’s Batgirl, $90 million in.

A weak quarterly report and a harsh stock drop set the company even further back.
