‘The Crown’ star Emma Corrin Joins Amazon’s ‘My Policeman’

Just receiving her Golden Globe and SAG nomination for her role as Princess Diana in The Crown, Emma Corrin will star alongside Harry Styles in Amazon’s Studio romantic drama My Policeman. Based off the acclaimed novel by Bethan Roberts, the film will be produced by Greg Berlanti, Robbie Rogers and Sarah Schechter.  Tony and Olivier Award winner Michael Grandage will direct the adapted screenplay by Ron Nyswaner.

The story takes place in the late 1990s, the arrival of Patrick, an elderly, comes into Marion and Tom’s home, this triggers the exploration of seismic events that took place 40 years prior: the relationship between Tom and Patrick at the time when homosexuality was illegal.

Corrin is on a high for her role as Lady Diana Spencer in season 4 of Netflix award winning hit series The Crown, which lead to her Golden Globe, SAG and Critics Choice nominations. Corrin made her debut film appearance in Misbehaviour, the historical drama following a group of women during the Women’s Liberation Movement.

As for Harry Styles, this will be his third movie as he is currently filming New Line thriller Don’t Worry Darling, where he will star along with Florence Pugh. Styles made his film debut in Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk.

Production is set to start this summer.
