The Audience at The National Championship Game Got a Special Sneak-Peek of Marvel’s ‘Black Panther’

The National Championship Game has Alabama facing off with Georgia, but the highlight was the Disney ‘Easter Egg’ that erupted on the jumbotrons. Fans were treated to a new preview from the upcoming Black Panther, Marvel’s newest addition to the ever-growing character list in the expanding world of comic book turned real-life heroes.

While the storyline does not follow any one specific comic book narrative for the character, it is said to be inspired by Ta-Nahisi Coates 2016 ‘Black Panther’ series. After the events of Captain America: Civil War, T’Challa returns to Wakanda, (the isolated technologically advanced country), after his father’s death to take his place as the rightful heir, but he is met with an old enemy who threatens civil war. T’Challa as Black Panther must work with the American government to protect Wakanda from the enemies within and from the possibility of being dragged into a world war.

It is intended to be the 18th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
