‘Thank You For Your Service’ Gets Emotionally Charged New Trailer

War films have commonly shown us how intense and horrifying battlefields can be, but not many films have attempted to tackle the aftermath for these soldiers. Thank You For Your Service will delve into the return of deployment for soldiers and the struggles of post-traumatic stress disorder, as evidenced by the trailer released by Universal.

Miles Teller, who starred previously in successful films like Whiplash and War Dogs, will be playing Adam Schumann, the main character of the film who is connected to the other soldiers in the film in one way or another. He will be joined by Haley Bennett (The Magnificent Seven) as Saskia Schumann, Adam’s wife, Amy Schumer (Trainwreck), Scott Haze (Midnight Special), and Beulah Koale, who will be making his American film debut.

The film is Jason Hall’s directorial debut, with his most recent work being the writer for American Sniper. The film is based on David Finkel’s book of the same name, while Ann Ruark (Biutiful, Babel) and Jon Kilik (The Hunger Games franchise, Foxcatcher) will executive produce and produce respectively. Universal Pictures are the distributors of the film and given the film an October 27th release, which releases exactly two weeks after another Universal film, Happy Death Day.
