‘Tenet’ Second Trailer Reveals Interesting Details About Nolan’s New Film

As previously mentioned here, the trailer for Tenet released on Fortnite tonight at 8 pm ET and it certainly reveals some interesting details about Christopher Nolan’s mysterious project.

The new trailer, which can be watched below, is rather similar to the first trailer, but takes the time to hint at the high concept themes embedded in its plot. One of the film’s stars, Robert Pattinson, revealed weeks before that Tenet was not about time travel as previously thought and he is correct. In the trailer, John David Washington’s character learns the stakes of his new mission to prevent a World War 3 style event using not time travel, but rather using time inversion.

Throughout the trailer, characters muse about the film’s concept, alluding to Washington’s ability to “communicate with the future.” This is certainly an interesting concept as, while it’s not technically time travel, inversion utilizes similar stakes and ideas commonly associated with it. Christopher Nolan is certainly no stranger to exploring time in his films, with both Interstellar and Dunkirk incorporated it through different means.

Tenet‘s trailer did not mention a release date, giving some hope that it will still release in July as planned. While there is still a lot to be learned about the movie, it has all the ingredients of a new Nolan masterpiece.
