Take a Look Into Scott Foley’s Darkly Comedic Directorial Debut, ‘Let’s Kill Ward’s Wife’

Television veteran Scott Foley (Felicity, True Blood, The Unit, Scandal) makes his writing and directorial film debut with the dark comedy Let’s Kill Ward’s Wife, a story about revenge fantasies gone awry.

Seeming to follow in the footsteps of the 80s cult classic Heathers, the film stars Donald Faison (Clueless) and Patrick Wilson (Watchmen), respectively, as Ward, a husband fed up with his unbearable wife, and his best friend who takes on the sociopath-lite role of murderous ringleader. Faison and friends, including some of Foley’s former co-stars – James Carpinello and Greg Grunberg – all play a role in the crime and its aftermath, which takes place within the blasé world of the country club golf course (an appropriate substitution for the Heathers’ croquet matches).

Let’s Kill Ward’s Wife is now available On Demand and on iTunes, and will see a limited theatrical engagement starting January 9. Check out the trailer and clips below, courtesy of Indiewire:
