“Accept the diagnosis.” Something creepy this way comes in the form of A Cure For Wellness. The 20th Century Fox film took to Super Bowl LI to tease out director Gore Verbinski’s latest chiller which stars Dane DeHaan (The Amazing Spider-Man 2). The film harkens back to Verbinski’s first major breakthrough – his creepy American horror redo The Ring. The director has since brought the first three Pirates of the Caribbean features, the Oscar winning animated feature Rango and the ill-fated The Lone Ranger to the screen,
A Cure for Wellness follows a young executive who is tasked to bring his boss back from a mysterious “wellness center” secluded in the Swiss Alps. Once there, he finds it nearly impossible to leave. Justin Haythe (Revolutionary Road) wrote the screenplay and Harry Potter alum Jason Isaacs co-stars.
