Starz Digital Will Release Robin Williams’ Final Film

Starz Digital has acquired the U.S. rights to the late Robin Williams‘ final film, Boulevard, with plans to give the movie a limited theatrical release. Williams plays a lonely married man who is facing the emptiness he feels about his life. When he picks up a hitchhiking hustler (Roberto Aguire), his life changes in unexpected ways.

Bob Odenkirk (Nebraska) and Kathy Baker (Saving Mr. Banks) also star in the movie, which premiered at last year’s Tribeca Film Festival and will be released on July 17. Boulevard is directed by Dito Montiel (Empire State), who got his big break in 2006 with his film A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints starring Shia LaBeouf, Robert Downey Jr., and Channing Tatum.

There has been no word on whether Starz will release Boulevard through VOD services or air it on its movie channels.
