Spirit Halloween Store To Make Feature Film Starring Christopher Lloyd and Rachael Leigh Cook

Spirit Halloween Store is in the ending stages of creating a feature-length film about their iconic seasonal shop. Back to the Future’s Christopher Lloyd and Rachael Leigh Cook of He’s All That is set to join the cast of this family-friendly movie.

The Halloween item and costume store has over 1,400 locations nationwide and plans to work alongside Strike Back Studios, Hideout Pictures, and Particular Crowd for this film. Donovan Colan, Dylan Frankel, Jaiden Smith, Marissa Reyes, and Marla Gibbs are set to be part of the cast with Leigh Cook and Lloyd.

“When a new Spirit Halloween store appears in a deserted strip mall, three middle-school friends who think they’ve outgrown trick-or-treating make a dare to spend the night locked inside the store Halloween night,” the summary reads. “But they soon find out the store is haunted by an angry evil spirit who has possessed the creepy animatronic characters. The kids embark on a thrilling and spooky adventure in order to survive the night and avoid becoming possessed themselves.”

Spirit Halloween has wrapped filming and plans to release the movie in October 2022. Noor Ahmed, president of Strike Back Studios, will produce the film with Shannon Houchins.

“One of the reasons I immediately connected with the script is it is very much inspired by some of my favorite kid adventure films growing up from The Goonies, Gremlins, Monster Squad, and so many great films made by Amblin Entertainment,” said Ahmed.
