‘Spiral: From the Book of Saw’ Gets Brand New IMAX Poster

With the anticipation of the release of Spiral: From the Book of Saw in theaters next week, Lionsgate has just released a brand new IMAX poster for the film.  This new poster depicts a pair of handcuffs, with one of the restraining cuffs made to look like a spiral shaped saw, which is a direct nod to the Jigsaw killer, who was our main antagonist for the previous entries in the series.

The new entry of the Saw franchise takes place several years after Jigsaw’s original reign of destruction. When copycat killer re-starts the murderous games of the original Jigsaw, Detective Ezekiel Banks (Chris Rock), his father (Samuel L. Jackson), and his rookie partner (Max Minghella) must work together to uncover the killer’s identity without falling into his lethal traps.

Spiral brings back regulars to the Saw franchise with director Darren Lynn Bousman, who previously directed Saw II, III, and IV. The film is also being written by Josh Stolberg and Peter Goldfinger, who both previously wrote the last entry in the series, 2017’s Jigsaw

Unlike many films being released in these first few months of 2021 that have released simultaneously on streaming and theaters, this one will be only in theaters for the maximum horrifying experience, which can be amplified even further with IMAX screenings. Spiral: From the Book of Saw arrives in theaters on May 14.
