‘Sonic the Hedgehog 3’ Production Start Date Revealed

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 has a production start date is August 31st in London. However, with the SAG-AFTRA strike beginning on July 1st, which will shut down all film and tv production as 160,000 actors, voiceover artists, stunt performers, and other media professionals join the protest, the production date may vary. According to Paramount Pictures, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 will be in theaters on December 20, 2024.

The writers of 2020’s Sonic the Hedgehog and co-writers of 2022’s Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Pat Casey, and Josh Miller with John Whittington scripted Sonic the Hedgehog 3. Any details about the movie have been kept under wraps, but the third installment will include 2001’s Sonic Adventure and 2005’s Shadow the Hedgehog video games. In the post-credits of Sonic 2, a scene teased at the anti-hero hedgehog. Comicbook got a Q&A with Miller as he discussed Project Shadow, which is the creation of Professor Gerald Robotnik as the grandfather of “Eggman” Robotnik, played by Jim Carrey in Sonic and Sonic 2.

Miller said, “The fact that Shadow is clearly going to be in the franchise moving forward, I don’t think it’s revealing anything to say we’d love to incorporate elements from Sonic Adventure 2 and Shadow the Hedgehog, his solo spinoff game.”
