Singer-model-actress Sky Ferreira has booked her next role right on the heels of her debut in Elvis & Nixon, which has just wrapped filming. She will appear alongside Nicolas Cage (Adaptation) and Elijah Wood (Lord of the Rings) in the crime thriller The Trust – according to The Wrap – which follows two corrupt cops who stumble on a mysterious bank vault while in the middle of a drug ring investigation, and attempt to pull off their very own heist.
First-time directors Alex and Ben Brewer will co-direct the UK film backed by The Electric Shadow Company and U.S. distributor Saban Films. Ferreira will getting back to work straight away, as the film is currently filming in Las Vegas, Nevada.
After making quite a name for herself in the music world, with a critically praised freshman album in 2013 – titled Night Time, My Time – and then subsequently in the modeling world with campaigns for Forever 21 and Yves Saint Laurent, Ferreira is now poised to take on Hollywood. These back-to-back bookings opposite several high-profile actors bode well for her burgeoning career.
