Driving in a car with a person who wants the air conditioning blasting constantly can either be perfect or absolutely terrible. This is the central problem in the short teaser for The Week Of, the new wedding comedy featuring some old school comedy actors. Watch the trailer here:
Two fathers are preparing for their respective children to marry, and they must spend the week before the marriage together in an attempt to learn more about each other. But everything that could possibly go wrong definitely goes wrong, and the two fathers butt heads on just about everything, which leads to a variety of shenanigans. Will the fathers being able to stand each other for the sake of their children and families, or will their feud cause a rift between them?
The two fathers will be played by comedy veterans Adam Sandler and Chris Rock, and the film will feature fairly strong supporting cast including Steve Buscemi, Scott Cohen, Patricia Belcher, and Melanie Nicholls-King. Robert Smigel is directing the film and co-wrote the script with Sandler. The film will be released on April 27th on Netflix, and we are not sure what to expect. Could it be a return to form for Sandler, or is it just another write-off comedy? We shall find out in two months.
