See the New Trailer for Disney’s ‘Coco’

A new trailer for the upcoming animated film Coco has just been released. Housed at Disney and Pixar, the film focuses on young boy named Miguel whose pursuit of the musical art soon leads him to the Land of the Dead, an event which could have been avoided if his living family had not worked so intently to prevent his aspirations. Though he gets to see his departed family, a danger casts an air of tension over this meeting: if he does not leave by sunrise, then he will remain in the Land of the Dead forever.

While the film seems to play with the notion that restrictive familial relationships can cause ill effects, the notion is actually quite impactful. The trailer seems to show that the support of one’s family can be healing and transcend the normal limitations of one’s lifespan, impacting people even after death.

Actor Anthony Gonzalez will voice the protagonist Miguel. Gonzalez will work alongside plenty of talent! Jaime Camil (Jane the Virgin), Cheech Marin (Nash Bridges), Gabriel Iglesias (The Book of Life), Gael García Bernal (Mozart in the Jungle), Sofía Espinosa (Gloria), Benjamin Bratt (Law & Order), Alanna Ubach (Waiting…), and Renee Victor (Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones) will all act in the film.

The beautifully-animated trailer for Coco can be viewed below.

Coco will come to life in theaters on November 22, 2017.
