Second Trailer for the Disney/Marvel Collaboration ‘Big Hero 6’

Check out the newly released trailer for Big Hero 6, the highly-anticipated collaboration between Walt Disney Animation Studios and Marvel Comics. With nearly a month left before the film’s worldwide theatrical release, this second preview gives fans a first glimpse into its overall plot and characters.

As observed in the first trailer, Big Hero 6 centers on the relationship between Hiro Hamada, voiced by Ryan Potter (Supah Ninjas,) and his over-sized robot sidekick Baymax (Scott Adsit, 30 Rock,) as they form the titular superhero team. This second trailer shows viewers a more expansive look into the lesser known Marvel property. We see Hiro and Baymax begin to form their team comprised of fan-favorite characters including Go Go Tomago (Jamie Chung, Sucker Punch) and Fred (T.J. Miller, Cloverfield.) Also apparent is the heart-warming relationship between Hiro and Baymax.

Being the first joint-venture between Disney and Marvel, Big Hero 6 will serve both fanbases for the first time. This puts a lot of added pressure on the November 7 release, as it is also the only Disney Animation feature film to debut in 2014, limiting the Studio’s Oscar-race contention. If the film can live up to the success of Disney’s Frozen, however, directors Don Hall and Chris Williams can rest easy.
