The decade long wait for the on screen return of actor Henry Czerny is coming soon, with his turn in the Mission: Impossible franchise. His return is set to take place in the climax of the franchise in Dead Reckoning Part One. However, Czerny is also set to take role in another iconic film franchise in the slasher-satire Scream 6.
He’s reportedly working alongside Ready Or Not directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, who both add a needed sense of horror legitimacy to the film. Notably, franchise star Neve Campbell is not going to be returning for the 6th installment after a low-ball offer from the studio. TO this note, the studio has gotten actress Courtney Cox from the legacy cast alongside Hayden Panettiere, taking up her role from Scream 4. Dermot Mulroney, Jack Champion, Liana Liberato, Devyn Nekoda and Josh Segarra also appear in the cast for the film.
As for what of the story can be accounted for, details on that end are sparse. The 4 surviving main characters, played by Melissa Barrera, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding and Jenna Ortega, are leaving Woodsboro to find greener pastures.
The film is set to be shot this summer, with an expected release date being somewhere around March 31
