Release Date of ‘Escape Room 2’ Delayed

(l to r) Jay Ellis, Taylor Russell, Nick Dodani, Deborah Ann Woll and Logan Miller star in ESCAPE ROOM.

Because of the pandemic the production of several movies have been halted. As a result many movies have had their release dates delayed. It was reported that the upcoming Batman movie would have its release date moved to March 2022, and Dune, which was supposed to come out on December 18th, is being delayed until 2021. Disney has also announced that they will be pushing back the release dates of Black Widow and The Eternals.

Now according to Screen Rant it looks like Sony is delaying the release of the horror movie Escape Room 2, which was originally supposed to come out on January 1st 2021. However Sony has not announced the new release date for the movie. Part of the reason why Sony decided to delay Escape Room 2 was because the movie Monster Hunter, which was originally supposed to come out in April of 2021 is now set to come out on December 30th of 2020, and the studio did not want to release two movies close together.

Escape Room 2 is being directed by Adam Robitel, who directed the first movie. The movie stars actresses Holland Roden, Indya Moore, Isabelle Fuhrman, and Taylor Russell. Actors Thomas Cocquerel and Carlito Olivero will also be in the movie.
